Located on the Noosa River, Tewantin is a small village with friendly people and lots to see and do. Visit the friendly folks at Parkyn's Hut and discover Tewantin’s rich history. The village had its beginnings as a timber town, with fishing and gold mining as secondary industries.

Be sure to visit the bustling Noosa Marina and take advantage of the many markets, pubs, restaurants, shops and art & craft galleries for the pleasure of locals and visitors alike.

Noosa Ferry Cruises

Take a cruise on the Noosa Ferry, which operates a daily cruise service. Sail the gorgeous waters between the town of Tewantin to the famous beaches, shopping and restaurants of Noosa Heads. All day departures leave from seven different ports of call. Full day passes are available and booking ahead is not required. You may purchase your ticket on board the boat. Noosa Oceanrider

If a "thrill ride" is your cup of tea, don't miss out on the Noosa Oceanrider. The Oceanrider is a Gemini 7.3 metre RIB inflatable Waverider, built in South Africa to withstand violent seas. The Oceanrider will take you on the ride of a lifetime with a few thousand horsepower behind her. Screams and laughter are required as you explore one of the world's more beautiful coastlines. Whale and dolphin watching are often spotted as they accompany us on some of our journeys. Rates are $70 per person or $250 for a family of four. The boat holds 12 passengers, so if you have a large group you may book the whole boat for an hour at the cost of $690, which includes taxes. Passenger safety is a priority on the Oceanrider and the company boasts a 100% clean safety record. For this reason, persons under the age of 12, and those who may be medically unfit are not permitted to board the Oceanrider.


Noosa Everglades Discovery

The Everglades Discovery cruise is an 85 km excursion which begins in the Noosa River and continues to Lakes Cooroibah and Cootharaba on the way to the beautiful unspoiled Everglades. There are many types of cruises available, including a BBQ lunch tour, afternoon cruise or book for the entire day! You will discover some of Australia's most pristine wilderness, see abundant wildlife and learn about the area with the help of your skipper's 20 years of experience on Noosa River cruises. The afternoon cruise will see a stop at the historic Harry's Hut for tea. Vessels are spacious and comfortable and there is a cruise for every taste. Prices vary.


Kingfisher Boat Hire

Another great family attraction located at the Noosa Marina in Tewantin. Kingfisher offers boats for hire to explore the beautiful scenery, lakes and beaches in the area. A picnic basket can be purchased with a nice meal and cold drinks for a picnic on a secluded beach. You can also do some fishing; bait and tackle are sold on the site, along with ice and snacks. Full and half-day hires are available.



Noosa River and Canal Cruises

Located at the Noosa Marina, Noosa River boat cruises can be taken aboard ‘The River Express’ or ‘The River Explorer’. Cruising one of the area’s most picturesque routes, you will be awed by the scenery and abundance of wildlife. Afternoon and sunset cruises are available and they cater to special events such as weddings, birthday parties, corporate parties and breakfast/lunch/dinner and BBQ cruises.


Noosa Bluewater Fishing Charters

Book an exciting offshore fishing expedition with Noosa Bluewater Charters. They cater to the amateur or experienced angler and all baits, rods, tackle and reels are included in the price of your excursion. You can book a half day or a full day. Half day excursions include cold drinks, tea, coffee and snacks. A full day cruise includes the above as well as a full catered lunch. Prices vary depending on the length of the cruise you wish to take.


The Tewantin Noosa Golf Club

Enjoy a few rounds of golf at the Tewantin Noosa Golf Club. Social play times are available to members and visitors seven days a week. After your game, relax at the club house with a drink or a meal with friends. There are eight different beers on tap and a wide selection of wines to choose from. The club restaurant serves lunch daily from 11:30 am and dinner from Wednesdays to Fridays beginning at 6 pm.
